About Matt

Photography isn't just my passion, it's life.

Based in Bright, Victoria, Matt produces work that tells stories about landscape and environment.

Previously photographing in commercial, portrait, wedding, sporting and music genres, by night Matt was documenting some of the world's biggest musicians such as Metallica, Pearl Jam, TOOL, Nick Cave, Joan Jett and hundreds more.

Eight Limbs, a project documenting Muay Thai Fighters, followed several years of documenting the Hyundai A-League for at-the-time champions Brisbane Roar FC. Eight Limbs would result in Matt being awarded AIPP Australian Sports Photographer of the Year.

Passion for the Australian photography community has Matt frequently involved in the AIPP as well as presenting at conferences and clubs.

Matt received Master of Photography AIPP in 2016 and Master of Photography with Distinction NZIPP in 2021.

Valuing the environment and natural habitat's, Matt has been an ambassador and supporter of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Tasmania who do incredible work for Tasmanian native wildlife. He's also been involved in projects for the Tasmanian Land Conservancy who protect vital habitat in Tasmania.
