Venetian Observations is a free e-book capturing brief vignettes of life in Venice, Italy.

While most of my project work is quite serious and often has environmentalism or social issues as a concept, this project was spontaneous and purely for the joy of photography.

Mieke and I were traveling through Italy, Slovenia and Croatia for photography (and our honeymoon) and had an unbooked section of our trip at the end so that we could respond to weather or other opportunities. Seeing the forecast was for blue skies throughout Europe, we returned to Venice earlier than planned and figured we would spend more time exploring the streets and surrounding islands.
